Session Rates
​
Individual sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes in length, depending on the client. The length of the session is a collaborative decision between the therapist, client, and/or their caretakers. As recommended by the Atlantic Association for Music Therapy, the rate for the session depends on session length, preparation of session materials, time needed for documentation, progress reports, completion of forms, meetings (not including free consultation), and reviewing records.

Payment Options

Spark Music Therapy Services accepts all major credit cards or email money transfer. A receipt will be issued upon payment.
Private practice music therapy is not covered by MCP (Medical Care Plan of Newfoundland and Labrador). However, Miss Grace is registered with the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada. Therefore, if you have Naturopath coverage in your insurance plan, you may qualify to have your session fees reduced. Insurance plans vary with coverage options, therefore please contact your insurance provider to determine your level of coverage and if you qualify for naturopath insurance benefit coverage. Spark Music Therapy Services does not offer direct billing. A receipt will be issued upon payment.
Lateness and Cancellation Policies

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit due to non-illness related reasons leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client. We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the fee. Clients who miss the appointment without notice or provide less than 4 hours notice will be charged the full fee.
However, we understand that sick days and emergencies happen; therefore, if you think that you and your loved one is sick the night before or day of, please call us and give us notice so we may plan accordingly, and/or contact a family who is on standby for a make-up session or on a waiting list for an evaluation or services. At Spark, we strive to keep our clients and students safe. If you are sick, do not come to your appointment!
